Steve Ross Graduates at AzRHA's Best of the West

Congratulations to everyone who competed at the AzRHA’s Best of the West show in Scottsdale, AZ this past week! We love seeing horses that have come through our barn do so well and their new owners and trainers enjoying them.

We want to highlight a couple of our SRRH graduates’s successes!

To owner Jen Russo and trainer Linde Von Koding on their success with fabulous Trevor (Xtra Jacked Voodoo). Linde rode Trevor to a very convincing win in the ARC Novice horse level 2 with a big score!! Trevor’s owner Jen is also doing fantastically in the Green and Rookie classes, already picking up checks and pulling in some great scores! We were so excited to match Jen and Trevor earlier this year, we knew they would make a great team.

Another graduate to win big at the best of the west show this week, is Kim Friedman and superstar Frankie (Electalena), who cleaned up in the ARC Finals winning the Prime Time, Int Non Pro and the Non Pro! This amazing team has won so much over the last couple of years, there wouldn’t be enough space to list it!! Kim and Frankie are trained by Patrick Flaherty and this team is well known and very competitive in the pen. It was so fun to see Kim collecting all her prizes in the show office ( she’ll need an extra trailer to get it all home!!) and she said about Frankie “He’s amazing, he’s my heart horse, he’ll be with me for life, but please find me another just like him!” That’s a tough request, but we’ll try Kim!!

Another graduate winning at Best of The west! Congratulations to owner Germaine Davila and Trainer Dallas Wedel on marking a great score and picking up a nice check in the level 1 open novice horse. We just adore Lovett (Aka Lyle!). It’s been great seeing Lovett thrive with Germaine! Here is to many more trips to the winners circle!

Congratulations to Sadie Kearney and Carmine on having a great best of west show last week! Sadie only started showing in reining earlier this year and has worked so hard with her new horse Carmine, putting in lots of practice hours and showing she is a dedicated competitor. Sadie marked over a 70 at this show and ended up Reserve Champion in the 13 and under! We are super proud of you and Carmine Sadie! This is just the start! Well done to Sadie’s coach Jessica Bien on having these two looking like a pair of pros in the show pen! Long may it continue!!

These are the homes we just love to see our horses go to! We couldn’t ask for more.
